On Sunday 24 May 2015, ACAD started a training course in the Savings and Credit Program for female beneficiaries from a project titled “Advancing the Rights of Marginalized Women and Children in East Jerusalem”. The training is being held in Ramallah and targets women from Burj Al-Laqlaq Community Society, the African Community Society and Domari Society of Gypsies in Jerusalem.
The five-day 15- hour training will focus on the principles, objectives and mechanisms of the Saving and Credit Program, and on how to establish savings and credit funds and how to establish income generating productive projects through credits granted by these funds for their members.
This project is financed by the European Union in partnership with Heinrich Boll Foundation and implemented with three organizations based in East Jerusalem: Burj Al-Laqlaq Community Society, the African Community Society and Domari Society of Gypsies in Jerusalem.
