The Arab Center for Agricultural Development “ACAD” in partnership with the UNDP and the Palestinian Ministry of Social Affairs signed an agreement within the framework of the Deprived Families Economic Empowerment Program “DEEP” funded by the Islamic Development Bank.
The projects targets 75 families registered in the records of the Ministry of Social Affairs in Qalqilia and Salfeet governorates. This projects aims at empowering Palestinian families economically by starting small enterprises that help them generate sources of income and ensuring the continuity of these enterprises by providing training, planning and grants for these families. It also aims to transfer these families from depending on assistance and aids to families depending on their own enterprises in their livelihoods.
This project is a part of a series of projects implemented by ACAD in partnership and cooperation with the UNDP within the framework of DEEP Program during the last years in the field of economic empowerment of poor families, women entrepreneurs, Islamic financing and grants for university students.
